How to Apply

We are thrilled you are interested in volunteering at Presbyterian Healthcare Services; we have volunteers in locations across Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Belen and Los Lunas. We invite you to learn how you can make a real impact in the lives of others, develop new skills and join a supportive community.

Important items to note:

• The onboarding process can take two to six weeks depending on your interests, availability and the needs of PHS.  
• With the exception of a few special programs or events (i.e. remote opportunities, one time special events, sewing, etc). A minimum time commitment is required for all other volunteer assignments to ensure our organization and each volunteer obtain meaningful value from the partnership. This is particularly crucial because of the cost of onboarding, time investment, need for effective and consistent coverage for PHS, resource planning and volunteer satisfaction. Volunteers may choose between the following schedules until they meet that minimum time commitment: Two weekly, 4 hour shifts for a minimum of 4 months (140 hours) or one weekly, 4 hour shift for a minimum of 7 months (122 hours). After the minimum time commitment, the hours requirement may vary.
  
• The time spent in the onboarding process will not count toward the volunteer time commitment requirement.  
• To avoid any delays in the process, we ask that you complete the steps that are requested in a timely manner.  
• You will be receiving updates via email regarding the next steps. All correspondence will be done through email so please plan to check your inbox frequently.
