Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Volunteering is a rewarding opportunity to gain new skills, utilize existing talents, and meet new friends; all while providing essential services to patients, guests and staff.

Volunteer opportunities are based on the current needs of requesting departments and on the volunteer's suitability, experience and availability. Volunteer schedules are flexible and vary by program. Weekend and evening shifts are available in certain departments.

The following questionnaire will help you decide if PHS is the right fit for you. While we are always looking for new volunteers to join our team, please consider the commitment and requirements involved before you make your decision. Volunteer Profile Notices and Agreements

* The general volunteer onboarding process may require 1 to 2 visits onsite before your first assignment. The volunteer application and onboarding process can take two to six weeks to complete, and it includes, but is not limited to, an orientation, a background check, a pre-screen phone interview, completion of various online forms, and a health screen (TB test, other immunizations, seasonal flu, COVID vaccine or declination with seasonal masking).  By typing your initials below, you agree to make the required visits to the hospital and complete all necessary steps in the volunteer onboarding process.

* Each program has specific time commitment requirements. We offer a variety of assignments and shifts to accommodate our volunteers' availabilities. Generally, volunteers are expected to commit to either two weekly 4-hour shifts for a minimum of 4 months or one weekly 4-hour shift for a minimum of 7 months. The  onboarding process does not count toward the volunteer time commitment requirement. These time commitment requirements do not apply to certain programs (spiritual care volunteers, pet volunteers, episodic etc.). By typing your initials below, you agree to follow your program's time commitment. Your program will be determined once we review your profile.

* General Presbyterian Healthcare Services volunteers are required to wear an ID badge and a uniform during their assigned shift(s). The general volunteer uniform consists of a polo shirt or vest. The first uniform is free. Every uniform purchase after is roughly $15. Hospice or spiritual care volunteers may not be required to wear a uniform. The ID badge will be provided free of cost. By typing your initials below, you agree to wear the volunteer uniform (if applicable) and ID badge during all your assigned shift(s).
